Domo-Kun Farts repeatedly when upset or nervous  Today I decided to stop leeching of facebook and edit my photos! Let me share with you guys a tip - you can hotlink your facebook photos to ANYWHERE!!!! I have totaallyyy just saved some people the trouble of double-uploading. Now lazy bloggers (like sam and rox cough) who dont post pictures have no excuse because (sam has like ONE THOUSAND PLUS photos in her FB account) and you can just get the photo url and paste it in your blog! super easy! Facebook does compromise the quality a bit...but it depends on your photo priorities... Flickr is still my favourite but anyway... Lunch at my mom's birthday was so wasted because i wasnt hungry! :( ok but between you and me, the Lunch menu at Marriott Cafe is totally boring and uninspiring. Anything from Carousel to Vienna is 10 times better and way more exciting.  Obligatory photo of my nephew because he has like a mini fan club among my friends. (are you guys just patronizing me or do you REALLY think he's cute..?!?!)  On the same day when we went to eat dubious steam boat, watch Beverley Hills Chihuahua and then home to diarrhea.  always cuts out bits of the most important parts of the photo. Of late ive been waking up around 10 am which is super early. it's been a long time since ive woken up the morning. Drove my mom to Centre Point to spend enough money to collect the Mr Men and Little Miss collection of umbrellas and calenders. They are SUPER CUTE! my mom has like 4 sets now because they were too cute and all of us were calmouring for a set...maybe having three daughters not such a good idea huh! XXX Nic says i look like Domo-Kun when i am ANGRY. LOOK like ok..i do not PASS GAS REPEATEDLY when nervous or upset.  nic says i am very vulgar  nic says i "dont give chance" when im angry  nic says i get angry very often  I think Nic is referring to this..... >> >>>  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HI-YAAA! honestly right, i always thought domo-kun looked like a weet-bix bar.

Food Poisoning :( shit pissed with whatever it was that caused it - it was either the chee cheong fun i had for breakfast, or it was the steamboat i had the night before. OMG THE NOXIOUS CRAB. i have a feeling it was that even though i only had a few flakes. ugh, or maybe it was from drinking the steamboat soup. :( :( mother suspects it was the oysters i had during her birthday lunch.  is it you evil things that gave me my food poisoning?? but the time line doesnt tally. (Has it ever occured to you that shell fishes are damn ugly?) anyway..my mother turned  s i x t y! over the weekend! She is going to be a grandmother 3 times over by next year! i know my mother is 'old' considering that im only 20. i always feel like im having an out of body experience when i look over at my family. Sam do you feel that way?! Our topics of conversation are always on a different plane... Here i am at 20, thinking about what's the latest fashion trend, while my sisters are off trying to find the cheapest soap powder or diapers (being dutiful wives!) We are always converging on parallel lines yet never really coming together... Gyoza, dumplings, guo tie, jiao zi - my latest must eat.  The eatery is at Far East Plaza on the food level so anyway, what i really want to blog about is my hair cut which cost me $5.90 and i am so thrilled about it because as you would know, i had a really shitty haircut previously by a really TERRIBLE hairdresser. she needs to be sacked. So what do these have to do with my hair cut anyway...  the salon is located behind the eatery! (see behind nic's head) it's called Sensation. They were having an opening promotion and i love the hairdresser there! Look for Kelly!  and speaking about hair, i took this picture because the girl in the background has a really bad hair ...among other things. (Opps nic caught as the calefare again! :p) 1) she has 2 extensions that are a washed out shade of ORANGE and PURPLE (not a good colour combination) 2) they are obviously extensions (which should not be the case) 3) they are longer than her real hair (at a weird extreme left position) 4) they are straighter than her real hair (bad extension 101) 5) her hair is streaked blue, horizontally 6) her chiffon top is a diluted baby pink (as if baby pink on cheap chiffon is not gross enough) 7) the straps are BRIGHT yellow 8) her bra/tube is NEON green 9) her bag is luminous (like a bicycle light) 10) her skirt looks like a curtain (and totally does not match with anything) 11) she is a walking fashion disaster somebody save her~!  Anyway we caught Beverley Hills Chihuahua the other day and it's DAMN NICE! Must watch it with your loved one ok? the title is seriously misleading... we thought was going to be some crappy show but it turned out to be such a heartwarming and hilarious show. you'll definitely enjoy this movie if you are an animal lover. It'll make you feel fuzzyy! INCREDIBLY cheesy moments like Chihuahua Shangri-La (this was super dumb) but all in good fun. This is a Walt Disney movie ok, dont mess!  a day in the life of a beverley hills chihuahua...hey i wouldnt mind being a lap dog... I always though chihuahuas were damn annoying creatures because they yap so much. But i guess they're fine when they speak in human voices (in the show). :p  no. still love big dogs over toy dogs :) exams have been quite relaxed relatively, (hope i dont have to eat my words) since i have 1 paper at the end of every week. Which gives me the weekends off to go and shop and do things that normal people with a life do. I have a paper this Thursday and one more next Friday and exams will be over! I only have 3 papers this sem, is that cool or what! I love my major :D Labels: random

Decisions... Ok i need help, oh tech geeks please come to my rescue and offer me some advice. I was initially intending to get the Nikon 60 (for price reasons) but ive been reading some forums and people have said to get a Canon 1000D for entry level. Then i read some more and others recommended paying a bit more for the Canon 450D because you get better specs. So...which should i get? I honestly dont think that i'll spend money on lenses in the future so i really just need good basic functions and maybe some quirks would be fine... Price wise, of course the cheaper the better but i dont mine paying a bit more if it's worth it.  Bah this doesnt look so attractive after all...but it is retailing at under $1000..about $998?  Canon 1000D at $1099  Canon 450D at $1299 OMG i just noticed that the canon's dont have flash. Im guessing this doesnt matter?!?! omg im such a noob. xxxx in other news, my mum has decided agaisnt going to BKK. i think she said "boring as shit" (cuz we've been there like 10times?) hahah but more due to the political turmoil. So this is how our discussion went: Me: Vietnam? Mum: Flooded Me: Indonesia? Mum: nothing to see Me: Nepal? Mum: So cold... Me: Kazakstan! Mum: No... Me:I know, phillipines! Mum: so boring... (by the way the last time she came her was 30 years ago) Me: India Mum: everyone who goes there gets food poisoning Me: Tokyo (ok i actually my mom suggested this..but then she goes on to say) Mum: i think flights all fully booked SO IN THE END, we are quite set on Guang Zhou. We can visit Shenzhen en route! i am quite excitteeddd. Guang Zhou is a good cosmopolitan city, my likeyyy...But she has to check if there are still tickets available first...plleassee let there be!!

I ushered in the holidays by waking up at 930 to get my butt to school and hand up the portfolio, which took like 3 mins. but then i had to hang around for an hour because it started to rain like nobody's business.Picspam X2 Had some tea and bought a taiwanese sausage from the Snacks and BeeHoon stall against better judgment. You know the thing with Taiwanese sausages is that they look absolutely putrid and disgusting. i can virtually see all the unwanted meat and transfat coagulated in a plastic skin. And that sickly shade of diluted pink it's soaked in is off-putting.  i Seriously wonder what are the components of a Taiwanese sausage - 3 parts random ears, skin and tail, 5 parts artificial flavouring and preservatives and 2 parts random fat? You can get it for $1 a stick at night markets...Now anyway, the weirdest part is that despite all this, people love them. they actually taste pretty shiok. The one i got in school wasnt the usual ones retailing at night markets which might explain my next paragraph. NOW MY POINT IS ANYWAY, that i ate one in the wee hours of the morning and my stomach could not handle this piece of leftover-faux-meat-thingamajig. it's toxic and bad for empty stomachs. I think i had indigestion after that ugh. this entry is incongruous like the rest of my other entries.  Nic is one of those closet camwhores.   who thinks his sunglasses are very cool. My short note the other day which i never got to publish. I will just publish it now to express my mental state then:stop being a wuss! i feel so short-breathed, tired and stressed out over dates and datelines (even though im quite sure im on schedule.) rushing here and there today trying to get things printed, collect books, do up the portfolio..still have an essay left. show dates to settle, thailand trip (WHOO) and arg, chest feels tight, head feels light. MMM, yup i felt quite wussy for being so stressed out. Today i am done slaving over my portfolio and i've got about 65% left of a New Media Curatorial essay left to finish so i feel slightly more punchy. I cannot wait till im done with the essay! After im done im going to showcase on my trusty blog both because im quite proud of them. Honestly, taking Aesthetics of New Media has seriously opened up my eyes to a whole new world. i thought i knew what art was...oh but can you ever know what art is? New Media art is an espeically tricky one... Anyway i totally hate the school computers with a deep, deep vengeance, laced with acid and venom. If i could punch the socks out of them i would. They like to screw up my documents. Im like the fucking most unlucky student in school i swear. After spending hours typing out an essay, the com saves my file but CORRUPTS IT. this means i couldnt open it at all and i was on the verge of insanity. THANK GOD, i found a very good software to open my file so i have all my text. phew. i would seriously be bawling and cursing the ground right now if not. And then there was the other time, i saved the file on the computer itself but it was NO WHERE TO BE FOUND and i never did find it. i had to rewrite the document all over again. i was sooo friggin pissed off. damn shit computer. I am so sick of technology and its temperaments. Nic lent me his PSP (INDEFINITELY), or should i say i helped myself to it. been hooked on puzzle bobble which is such a wuss game but whatever! I am not into your MMORPGS and whatever dumb LAN shit. We cooked the best dinner ever yet and smoked up the entire kitchen. we bought shishamo, dumplings, mee sua, shirmp wantans, aerophonically grown kailan and we were done in like 20mins. These instant, pre-packed, MSG loaded food items are god sends... so are non-stick pans. proper post with pictures another time. survivor later!

So, the only thing that is making me happy right now are these little pieces of heaven. OMG I LOVE THEM. I take great pleasure in nibbling off the outer, crunchier sugar and relishing the soft gummy underneath there after. And they're so cute! like little raspberries!  YUM. my favourite candy from Cocoa Trees and Candy Empire. Despite the tons of chocolates and other sweet treats there, this cutie never fails to catch my eye. So the weekend has been exhausting. Been trying to cut 90 degree angles of roughs, thumbnails, prototypes and sketches for my portfolio which is infuriating. Who knew that designers were so concise. I think the limbo period before the exams really suck. everyone gets so frazzled and stressed. :(  Need rest and relaxation!  Fish spa to chew away all my dead skin and soften the callouses on my feet!
HALLOWEEN But i have to blog about it anyway. First off, i am sad that i did not get to dress up for Halloween!! :( :( Although to tell you the truth, if i had to dress up, i wouldnt know what i would dress up as. Did you all have fun? I wish singapore celebrated Trick-or-Treating on a national level. These are my potential outfits if i celebrated Halloween Potential outfit #1: Angel - but i wouldnt want to trash my wings.  Potential outfit #2: F1 Race Ambassador! Dont waste the uniform...but then not slutty enough right.  Potential outfit #3: Mamasan complete with posse of sexed-up boys (HAHAHA)  Potential outfit #4: Princess - my loyal subjects all smiling at me from behind as i give my princess pose.  Potential outfit #5: Or this is what i like to call a sperm. tres cool and ingenious right! Just need to wriggle a bit more.  OR I COULD BE A FAIRY!  THERE IS EVEN A CHRISTMAS TREE, A PRINCESS AND A PRINCE OK!!   We are very heavenly, we flit among the clouds. When we FLIT we come out blur in photos.  Our SuperPower is being able to teleport from one place to another. One that happens we go bright, become translucent and poof*  We guard the stairway to heaven. Cant get past us unless you take a photo with us!  We can create snow   and we light up christmas trees! Fairies are awesome creatures. Especially when armed with tons of fairy lights. However, as awsome as fairies are, we also eat common food. (or else it's biscuits and chocolates for dinnner :(  We need to study, study, study! seems no one escapes the education system.   we never walk, always dance from one location to the next!  We try to be inconspicuous so we take the cable car other times.   enjoying the view!  and so, my 2 month Halloween has just begun...

THERE ARE PPL WHO REFUSE TO READ THE RESEARCH THAT I SPOONFEED THEM WITH AND THEREAFTER PRODUCE HALF-ASS SHIT, THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO "COPY AND PASTE" PARAGRAPHS FROM NEWS ARTICLES FOR THEIR OWN ARTICLES (HELLO PLAGERISM? WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN LEARNING IN CLASS ALL THIS WHILE), MOSTLY THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DONT PULL THEIR OWN WEIGHT AND JUST EXPECT TO GET CARRIED THROUGH A GRADE.OMG IMMA GOING TO DIEEEE YOU KINDA SUCK AS PROJECT MEMBERS! i have 2 projects due this friday (OMG COME AND GO, COME AND GOOOOO) 1 project due next friday 1 storybook due next wednesday 1 portfolio due the week after next but rushing it out TODAY because i have consultation later is that it? is that it? OMG IMMA GOING TO DIIEEEEEEE OK OK OBAMA WON, STOP CALLING HIM THE FIRST "BLACK PRESIDENT", because i mean, he's as white as he is, black, or he is possibly more white, so stop sensationalizing things. i guess i was rooting for Obama as well, but this picture below makes me feel kinda sad for Mccain. just look at those eyes of disappointment :( im sorry i had to use the picture in that context but im really not being sarcastic, i really do feel sad for him...
